My tips for maintaining the Paleo diet

Paleo diet routine

Hey, Hagar  here,  if you are still a newbie with the Paleo diet, or just thinking about trying it, I just wanted to share with you some tips I've collected in the past 2 years for structuring your meal plan. It's really just a suggestion, as you can find lots of recipes in the Paleo recipe book, or maybe have your own preferences for the ingredients, but still the following tips kept me on track for a long time.

Paleo Breakfast

Good morning! coolat morning, I prefer to make an easy omelet and mix it with onion, peppers, mushrooms, and broccoli in olive oil. It's better to use add omega-3-enriched or free-range eggs. if you want, you can also add diced turkey or chicken breast.

Paleo Lunch

Let's start with the salad which is the simple step… I prefer to prepare it in the beginning of the week, and make a huge salad with anything you like. A good starting point can be mixed greens, spinach, radishes, tomatos, cucumbers, carrots, avocadoes, walnuts, almonds and sliced apples or pears .Make it a rich salad, I prefer at least 4-5 ingredients so it would be interesting .Store the salad in a large container. The second step is the "hard one". In each morning prepare a single serving and then mix in meat (ground beef, beef slices, pork, chicken, turkey or any other meat) or seafood of choice ( tuna, salmon, shrimp, or any fresh fish or seafood). Toss with olive oil and lemon juice and that’s all, you're all ready.

For a side dish you can take roasted beets and their greens. Asparagus, broccoli, and spinach can be steamed quickly. Salmon, halibut, or other fresh fish filets grill well with accompanying foil packs full of cut veggies with olive oil and garlic.

Afternoon break –  Snacks and Deserts

Paleo cookies - biscuit

Succulent fruits make a great dessert. Cut carrot and celery sticks, sliced fruit, and pre-portioned raw nut or dried fruit mixes are easy snacks. You can also bake cookies or muffins,  it's on the recipe book, takes a several minutes and very tasty.
Paleo Dinner

Good night!! At night you can try spaghetti squash as a substitute for any pasta recipe. Top with pesto, marinara and meatballs. You can also try the Paleo pizza or try to repeat your morning dish. I usually eat a light dinner, but my huasband prefers a large meal. Any how try a variety of recipes each night, and find your 4-5 favorite ones and stick with them.

I wish you luck with this great diet, I can asure you that you'll feel heathier by time.smiley

Start Order your Paleo lunch meals – Paleo meal plan

When I decided to turn the Paleo diet into my food habits regular routine I started searching for a structure Paleo meal plan. I got tired of searching every day for new Paleo recipes on the net and then go to the grocery store to complete all of the missing ingredients for those recipes.  It was exhausting to find recipes based on the ingredients I had at home…so what I did is searched for a structured meal plan, so I could also spice up with some new recipes and also know what I have to buy for the following week.

Now, don't get me wrong here, I'm still logged in to some of my favorite Paleo sites, just because I like sharing my experience with others and also like chatting…wink

Anyhow that’s where I met the Paleo recipe book which besides the fact that it includes over 400 recipes, gives you also a FREE 8 week PALEO MEAL PLAN. Now my life has gotten a little easier, because this book has taken these recipes and produced weekly meal plans, consisting of breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner for all seven days of the week.

The daily Paleo meal plan consists of three meals and one daily snack. This list is categorized by food type to make your shopping experience fast and efficient. To make everything even easier for you, all the recipes are taken from the materials you get from both your cookbook purchase, as well as from what we’ve provided for you here on the website.

As I saw it, each meal and snack has been selected strategically to ensure optimal health, a great balanced selection and minimal waste of both food and time. As much as your goal is to make life more efficient in the kitchen, this plan has also been designed to allow for flexibility and creativity.  Recipes can easily be swapped and ingredients can often be substituted, added and even taken away.

And another great thing is that you may find yourself enjoy the Paleo meal plan as it is, but can also use it as a base to work from. Either way, it’s bound to be an essential tool for your Paleo kitchen.

Why you should eat Paleo lunch?

Hey, Hagar here, many of you asked me why you should eat Paleo, so I decided to give you some info of its pros and cons and share with you my preferred diet plan.

Firstly, it's important to understand that the Paleo diet is the only NUTRITIONAL approach that works with your genetics to help you stay lean, strong and also energetic. I read that research in biology, biochemistry, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and many other disciplines indicate it is our modern diet, full of refined foods, trans fats and sugar, that is at the root of degenerative diseases such as cancer and heart diseases, obesity, diabetes and even Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, depression and infertility.

So which ingredients offer us the correct criteria for a healthy Paleo diet? In general it will be based on:

  • Lean proteins
  • Lean meat
  • Seefood
  • Nuts and seeds
  • Healthy fats from nuts, seeds, avocados, olive oil, fish oil and grass-fed meat
  • Fruits and vegetables.

The Paleo diet will keep you away of: Dairy, grains, Processed Food & Sugars, Legumes, Starches and Alcohol.

By avoiding the above list and maintaining a routine of specific Paleo meals, you will you will probably enjoy from stable blood pressure, clear skin, balanced energy, burn of stored fat, improve your sleeping, better teeth and much more. I read many testimonials of people that were suffering from different skin diseases and when they implemented a daily plan of Paleo recipes, their problems were gone after a few months.

So I hope you learned a little bit about the Paleo diet. I can tell you that I'm very satisfied from the variance of the recipes and possibilities and I'm really not considering it as a diet plan, but more like a healthier meal routine,

I have just discovered an amazing Paleo recipe book which I would like to share with you and include lots of Paleo lunch ideas, if you want to take a look on my review about it, click here.
